Shared Vision for Transformation of Cold Chain Monitoring Technology
Lake Forest, Calif. and Portland, Ore., (November 15, 2007) —CryoPort, Inc. and KLATU Networks announced today a strategic partnership to develop and deploy cryogenic shipping and monitoring solutions targeting the transport of investigational medicines in clinical trials. The partnership calls for KLATU to develop a customer service portal for real time entry, scheduling and shipping of biological specimens through overnight shipping companies.
Under the terms of their agreement, KLATU will design and develop an integrated logistics management system to support CryoPort internal operations, customer services, carrier scheduling, and dock-to-dock monitoring of temperature and other parameters of the cryogenic package. The system, named CryoPort Express Portal(tm) will be electronically coupled with scheduling, tracking and shipping services of Federal Express and supported by KLATU --a certified corporate developer for Federal Express.
"Through our collaboration with KLATU, we will introduce new shipping and management tools to compliment our innovative liquid nitrogen solution. Using new technology, we can dramatically reduce shipping costs and improves specimen integrity for our customers around the world" said Peter Berry, CEO of CryoPort.
