KLATU Technology Supports Strategic Partnership
Portland, Ore. (May 22, 2009) —CryoPort Inc., KLATU's strategic partner in cold-chain applications, and Federal Express announced today a significant business partnership which relys upon back-end "cloud-computing" and "Web 2.0" client software designed, developed and implemented by KLATU. The CryoPort system provides order-entry, logistics scheduling, rule-based package tracking and "paperless" preparation of customs documentation. The software is fully integrated with Fed Ex's extensive IT systems and is used by customers and logistics partners to augment their own systems for entering shipping orders, monitoring and managing multi-leg temperature sensitive shipments. KLATU leveraged its industry experience in cold-chain applications and existing software products to deliver a state-of-the art solution within time and budget objectives.
KLATU also acted as an advisor to CryoPort in connection with FedEx business negotiations.
