Introduction to the TRAXX™ System

TRAXX™ is a powerful RISK MANAGEMENT and BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE software suite for monitoring the status, condition, location and relative performance of cold-chain storage assets deployed in any corporate or industrial environment. TRAXX provides management with a new tool to reduce operating costs through proactive management and optimization of previously "hidden" assets.

TRAXX is designed around an open systems architecture and is comprised of several problem-focused applications, each targeting a particular asset management issue.  The applications are seamlessly integrated to facilitate data fusion, analysis, and the sharing of information between the applications.
Traxx Manager
TRAXX Enterprise Manager
is the core application of the system and orchestrates basic temperature monitoring, analysis, reporting and alarming activities based on real-time and historical sensor data.  An innovative 3D user interface (patent pending) dramatically enhances user comprehension of state-of-health by adding a location context and interpretation of monitored data.

TRAXX Optima
is a core extension to the Traxx Enterprise Manager that provides benchmarking of assets to generate relative performance metrics.  Asset data is analyzed and a relative score is assigned to each asset to help management identify the best and worst assets in terms of performance and energy consumption.

TRAXX PM
is a core extension to the Traxx Enterprise Manager that provides technicians with an electronic field survey tool to collect and analyze field maintenance data using pre-designed templates for each asset make/model. Survey history can be accessed by the technician to visualize long-term changes in asset state-of-health —an effective and actionable tool to help diagnose emerging problems before they become costly equipment failures.

Tomorrows Internet Today™: Our Web 2.0 Look and Feel

TRAXX has the look and feel of a high-end custom application but executes in a browser.  So there is never any software to install.  Its design incorporates a break-through 3D building visualization technology (patent-pending) that simplifies the interpretation and analysis of sensor and alarm data in large building and campus settings.

Long, complex and fatigue inducing "drill-down" reports are replaced with simple color-coded 3D building maps and floor-plans showing the location and status of just the assets that require attention.  The result is a state-of-the art system that helps knowledge workers be proactive in responding to equipment anomalies before they become costly operational problems.

TRAXX has been designed by an experienced development team working in close collaboration with a tier-one Fortune 500 customer. It is currently in its 3rd major release since it was first deployed in 2004.

Multiple Deployment Options

TRAXX is most often deployed as an out-sourced application in a cloud-computing environment.  This provides customers with ease of deployment, scale and integration flexibility while minimizing support costs. Alternatively, TRAXX can be deployed as an internally hosted application for customers who have the staff and resources or where TRAXX is being integrated with other IT systems.

Wireless Sensors and RFID: How Many "Standards" Has Thee?

Although KLATU has extensive prior experience designing and manufacturing wireless sensors, our solutions build upon standards-based products sourced from skilled 3rd party manufacturers —who often incorporate our ideas into their own.  Sourcing these devices from trusted partners allows KLATU the freedom to choose the best available technology, and to remain device and network agnostic.  Our multi-service router seamlessly interconnects old, new and future standards into a flexible heterogeneous network.
