TRAXX Optima™ The New Best Practice for Cold-Chain Energy Management™

KLATU has responded by developing TRAXX Optima --the industry's first energy management optimization tool specifically designed for monitoring and optimizing energy consumption of cold-chain assets, or any asset with a plug. It can manage one asset or a fleet of assets spanning several buildings or states. TRAXX Optima is a new asset visibility tool that managers can use to systematically reduce energy costs --often by 20 percent or more.

The design premise behind TRAXX Optima is based on the proven technique of benchmarking and profiling asset performance against predefined standards or profiles. Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) such as temperature, kWh, compressor cycles are calculated for each asset so that they can be evaluated in terms of comparative performance. Under performing assets are scheduled for corrective maintenance and in other instances strategic purchase and disposition decisions can be made based on age, KPI or vendor make and model.

KPI's for assets of the same make and model have different, often significantly different, KPI's which can be attributable to age, setup, configuration, environment and maintenance issues. By systematically analyzing KPI's and correlating them with known problems, TRAXX Optima can issue an early warning about a maintenance issues or worse --the onset of mechanical failure before it becomes a costly emergency service call.

TRAXX Optima leverages KLATU's break-through 3D user interface technology which provides a simple and visually attractive "picture" of the status and location of all assets under management. Utilization of industry standard wireless sensors makes installation a painless process and facilitates scaling of the application when needed.
